Mary Beth Lanigan reported to Historic City News reporters that Saturday, June 8, beginning at 1:00 p.m., a group of St Augustine citizens will hold a community potluck in the Plaza de la Constitucion to discuss ideas to help solve common, local issues.
Lanigan says individuals in the community should bring their own covered dish to share as a meal, but no one will be turned away.
“The goal of this potluck is to promote community growth and provide concerned individuals a chance to brainstorm solutions to concerns about everyday city life,” Lanigan told Historic City News. “We invite individuals, as well as local activists groups, to participate.”
Lanigan extended a “thank you” to everyone who came out to the last Community Potluck and the “March against Monsanto” last week. “We had a wonderful turn out, passionate people spreading useful knowledge, and tasty food to tie it all together,” Lanigan said.
The group comes together every-other Saturday for these potluck events.
