Mark Samson, public information officer for the St Augustine Police Department has updated Historic City News on police reports process in the past day.
St Augustine City Police arrested 29-year-old John Michael Kloskoski yesterday for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence. Kloskoski, who listed the homeless shelter at 70 Washington Street as his residence address, was making a scene by hollering at another person in the Plaza de la Constitution. As the police approached him, he started cursing — very loudly, there was a family nearby with several children out for Halloween. As he was being arrested, he broke away and ran from the officers. He continued to pull away from them, ignoring their commands. He remains in custody this afternoon in lieu of $1,000 bond.
Police officers responded to 511 Anastasia Boulevard to a car vs. bicycle crash. The bicyclist was 14-years-old and had some minor scrapes; St Johns County Fire Rescue responded to check the teen before he was released from the scene.
Hattie Renee Weigle was arrested for petit theft at Mardi Gras lounge located at 123 San Marco Avenue in St Augustine after she was caught on surveillance video in the act of taking a purse and it’s belongings. 27-year-old Weigle, who gave booking officers her address as the Equinox Motel at 306 San Marco Avenue in St Augustine, is on supervised release. A stipulation prohibits her from using alcohol or being in places where alcohol is being served. Weigle was taken into custody and transferred to the St Johns County Jail just after 3:00 a.m. this morning; where she remains in lieu of $1,000.
Two juveniles broke a window at 60 St George Street; but, before police could arrive, the vandals fled the scene on skateboards headed northbound on St George Street.
