Tom Iacuzio informed local Historic City News reporters that Jill Miller has been selected as the Director of the First Year Experience and Co-Curricular Programs at Flagler College.
Miller will coordinate the college’s FYE program that helps to aid the transition of new students into the campus community by providing things such as a First Year advisor and orientation programs.
“I remember the trepidation I felt as an incoming freshman in college and how those fears were allayed through a welcoming orientation, supportive faculty and staff, and systems in place to help encourage my success,” said Miller. “It’s my hope, that in working with the faculty and staff on the first-year experience, we can provide the best possible transition to college and set our new students up for continued success at Flagler.”
Miller comes to Flagler from the First Coast Technical College of St. Augustine, where she was Director of College Advancement. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from Berry College and Juris Doctor from the Seton Hall University School of Law.
