Transit system award goes to COA

Sunshine BusIn a communication released by Susan Johnson with the St. Johns Council on Aging, Historic City Media was informed that America’s foremost transportation entity has conveyed its top award to the St. Johns County Council on Aging.

The Community Transportation Association of America announced that they will present The Community Transit System of the Year award to the Council on Aging when they convene in New Orleans on June 3rd.

Juvenile molestation allegations lead to arrest

A 38-year old St. Johns County man was arrested on two counts of lewd and lascivious molestation and one count of lewd and lascivious exhibition at his home on Avenue D Thursday evening.

Special Victims’ Unit Detectives arrested Jason Scott Belcher according to a press release received by Historic City Media this morning from Sheriff’s Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw.

Cornell Road closure

Road closed
According to a news release from the St. Johns County Office of Public Affairs, effective Wednesday, May 14, Cornell Road will be closed between Shore Drive and Dartmouth Road to allow the St. Johns County Road and Bridge Department to replace a cross culvert on Cornell Road.

WFOY commentator: fugitive from justice

Richard Lester Senninger
51 year old Richard Lester Senninger was arrested yesterday and booked in the St. Johns County jail — facing charges that he is a fugitive from justice in Michigan for larceny and theft.

Senninger is better known as “Rick Wright”, a conservative political commentator who features several regular contributors on the program “Outside the Wire” on WFOY 1240 radio in St. Augustine.
