Letter: City about to allow another zoning debacle

The city has faced a number of zoning issues recently, most notable the 7-11 on May Street. Another property, known as the “castle”, which is located in a well-established neighborhood was zoned commercial by the city and the neighbors are battling City Hall to rezone it residential.

Man robs two elderly travelers in hotel room
Flagler County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking help from Historic City News readers to identify the man who robbed a 73-year-old visitor inside his hotel room at the Best Western Hotel in Palm Coast at approximately 12:40 p.m. on Monday.

Letter: Do you approve of doubling the Mosquito Control budget?

Dear Editor:
Tomorrow (Thursday) night, the Anastasia Mosquito Control District will hold its final budget meeting and a lot of big decisions are going to be made. These decisions are going to affect every taxpayer in the District and I am not sure they realize just how much.

Just hours before this year’s final public hearing on the City of St Augustine’s 2014-2015 budget and related ordinance approvals, Historic City News learned that the City’s website, used to notify the public of the agenda and backup materials for such meetings, was inoperable.
