Historic City News has received a copy of a letter from Assistant County Administrator Jerry Cameron to Thomas Wisnieski, Director of the North Florida and South Georgia Veterans Health System, concerning the Veterans Administration Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) location in St. Johns County, that indicates the the VA doesn’t know where their veterans actually live.

A 44-year-old St Augustine man was stopped by St Augustine police officers this week because the vehicle he was driving matched the description of a car used in a theft from Target. A computer check on the driver, David Albert Turner who resides at 142 Dory Road in St Augustine, revealed that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Turner has been arrested 15 times, according to the police department and records on file at the St Johns County Detention Facility. Turner was taken to jail, booked, and released after posting a $1000.00 appearance bond.
