Just before 2:00 a.m. this morning, Historic City News was informed that a 48-year-old St Augustine man, Mark Burger, had been struck by two vehicles as he stood in the traffic lane at SR-16 at North 1st Street. The victim died at the scene.

Last night at about 8:10 p.m., Historic City News learned that St Augustine Beach Police captured a fugitive from North Carolina when he returned to take possession of a reportedly stolen car that was parked in the 10th Street parking lot, just East of A1A Beach Boulevard.

A thirty-second advertisement that ran for four days, between August 6th and August 9th, has led Jacksonville television station WTLV, First Coast News, to pay a $55,000 fine, according to a consent decree obtained from the Federal Communications Commission by Historic City News this week.
