Meet St Augustine’s Public Information Coordinator

On December 1, 2015, the City of St Augustine created a new position, hiring 46-year-old Melissa Wissel as our first “Public Information Coordinator” at an annual salary of $40,807.31 plus benefits.  She lives in North Davis Shores with her husband Jeffrey.

Friends of the Guana-Tolomato-Matanzas Research Reserve

The Friends of the Guana-Tolomato-Matanzas Research Reserve received a donation of $1,000 from JTC Running, the largest running club in Northeast Florida. For the past five years, the club has conducted its “Back to Nature Trail Races” in the state park.

City offers free parking and shuttle service

The City of St. Augustine reported Friday that they will offer free parking and transportation to the St. Augustine and St. Johns County Visitor Information Center, located at 10 S. Castillo Drive, adjacent to Francis Field, on the first three Saturdays in April.
