The City of St Augustine is embarking on a process to define a vision plan.
The city commission will start the process with a workshop on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The process will only be relevant and useful if all constituencies are involved along the way.

Eric Johnson, director of the Mission Nombre de Dios, welcomed Commissioner of Culture and Sports, Roman A. Alvarez-Gonzalez of St Augustine’s Sister City, Aviles Spain, this morning for the commemoration of the 448th anniversary of the founding of the City in 1565.

St Augustine can boast about a lot of things, besides being my birthplace. Our military history begins with our European founders; and, today, the only state agency to remain headquartered in St Johns County is our National Guard and the Florida Department of Military Affairs.

Bicyclist knocked to road by turning truck
St Johns County Fire Rescue spokesman Matthew Sara informed Historic City News that a 36-year-old St Augustine man has been transported by air ambulance to UF Health Jacksonville hospital with critical injuries after his bicycle collided with a turning Ford F-150 pickup truck.
