Carjacker attempts to steal scooter of off-duty officer

Community Affairs Officer Barbara Stevens reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Police Department was called to Carmelo’s Marketplace just before midnight on Saturday night, to investigate a reported carjacking attempt.

Question of quorum for city meeting tonight

The City of St. Augustine will attempt to hold their regularly scheduled meeting tonight; however, Historic City News has learned that at least two commissioners will not be in town.

StAR Council April meet and greet

The StAR Council reported to Historic City News that they will hold their next “Meet and Greet” on Thursday April 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Creekside Dinery, 160 Nix Boatyard, St. Augustine.

Flagler Students in Free Enterprise win regional

Priscilla Proctor informed Historic City News reporters that in competition on March 21st in Charlotte, the Flagler College Students in Free Enterprise team has advanced from regional to national competition.

Despite yesterday’s tragedy, Historic City News reporters found hundreds of noon-time attendees at today’s second annual Warbird Fly-In at the Flagler County Airport on SR-100 in Palm Coast.
