Workshop required for TDC funding
The St. Johns County Tourist Development Council reported to Historic City News that they will hold two workshops to assist not-for-profit groups in applying for funding support for special events aimed at attracting visitors to St. Johns County.





Jay Bliss, Port and Waterway Commissioner, provided Historic City News readers the following executive summary from the March 2011 meeting.
Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that a 41-year old St. Johns County man has been arrested on charges of improper exhibition of a firearm and resisting arrest without violence early this morning.
During Monday’s meeting of the St. Johns County Civic Association Roundtable, Historic City News reporters were on hand when the Sheriff’s budget drew fire; citing that it is heavy with jail expenses.

Public Relations Director Meghann Gibbons announced to Historic City News that Georgia Aquarium, which purchased the historic Marineland attraction on January 3, 2011 for a reported $9.1 million, has launched a new name and new logo.
