Attempts to identify remains fail so far

Sergeant Charles E. Mulligan, Community Affairs Coordinator for the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, updated the local news desk at Historic City News on the status of the human remains recovered at a thickly wooded site along the south side of SR-16 last week and over the weekend.

Commissioners and Halback Group meeting

As originally reported by Historic City News on January 3, 2011, the Halback Design Group, Inc., will hold a meeting tonight towards the goal for the improvement of the movement of people along Avenida Menendez (the bayfront) and South Castillo adjacent to Castillo de San Marcos National Monument.

Local reporters for Historic City News were on hand; as were St. Johns County Commissioners, other County officials, North Shores Improvement Association members, developers Atlantic Land Realty, designers Land Design South, and an overflow crowd to show support for a long-awaited ceremonial groundbreaking for the Publix Supermarket at the Vilano Beach Town Center.

Quinn returns to civilian life again

Historic City News reporters were on hand when interim District 3 St. Johns County Commissioner, Sergeant Major (Ret) Ray A. Quinn, took one of his final acts in that capacity today as he participated in the groundbreaking ceremony for the new Publix Supermarket at the Vilano Beach Town Center.

Evidence technician arrested for grand theft

Historic City News has learned that a 39 year-old Flagler County Sheriff’s deputy was arrested this afternoon and charged with grand theft over $5000 and official misconduct in falsification of records.
