North Shores community hosts candidates
On Monday, August 9th at 7:00 p.m., Sacha Martin, President of the North Shores Improvement Association tells Historic City News local reporters that their organization will sponsor a candidate forum for contested seats in the August 24th Primary Election.




Historic City News reporters received word from Rebecca Romaine today that local beach lifeguards will be out in force this weekend to “Fill the Buoy” at the Publix on Anastasia Island.

Today, Historic City News learned that Governor Charlie Crist signed legislation that makes it more difficult for individuals to buy over-the-counter medicines used to make methamphetamine.
Local Historic City News reporters learned that members of the St. Augustine City Commission will lead a ceremony to mark the commencement of the Aviles St. Rehabilitation Project on Friday, July 30th beginning at 9:00 a.m.
St. Johns County Fire Rescue reported to Historic City News that local Junior Lifeguards joined junior guards from around the region in an annual competition held in Jacksonville Beach last Saturday.
