Future of Castillo Center may be clearer soon

City Manager John Regan, negotiating memorandums of understanding with the University of Florida and the National Park Service, told city commissioners Monday night “by August 13 we will know our fate” on state lands necessary for a Castillo Visitor Information Center in the Colonial Spanish Quarter.

Law enforcement cadets recognized

St. Johns River Community College criminal justice academy announced to Historic City News local reporters that cadets representing St. Johns, Clay, Putnam, Duval, Flagler, Broward and Miami-Dade counties received their certificates of completion for the law enforcement basic recruit program.
