Friday afternoon, County Administrator Michael D. Wanchick released his bi-weekly St. Johns County report to Historic City News. The following updates in the Public Works and Utilities departments were provided by Wanchick:

St. Johns County Health Department Director and Health Officer Dawn C. Allicock, M.D., M.P.H., reported to Historic City News that the Sterling Showcase of Best Practices will be held by her office in the coming weeks.

The St. Johns County Office of Management & Budget furnishes Historic City News with a quarterly Performance Measures Report to measure the performance of county programs and activities.

Historic City News is recognizing Hispanic Heritage Month which honors the diverse peoples of Spanish-speaking backgrounds who have come to the United States from more than 20 countries.

Historic City News has learned that four county sites were recently treated for the invasive Chinese tallow tree (triadica sebifera); which has been determined to be an ecological threat to our environment.
