Historic City News has received word from the City of St. Augustine concerning temporary road closures and projected congestion areas for this weekend’s Christmas Parade and Grand Illumination/British Nightwatch ceremonies.

Historic City News has been informed that the “Dinner and a Movie” series to benefit the St. Johns Cultural Council will continue Monday night, December 15th at 6:00 p.m. at Gypsy Cab Comedy Club, 828 Anastasia Blvd., on Anastasia Island.

Historic City News will be watching the Matanzas Bay sparkle in the glow of a holiday regatta of boats decked out in their seasonal finery when the Regatta of Lights returns to St. Augustine on Saturday, December 13th.

Last week, Ed Hall, who has spent the last twenty years building a reputation as an editorial cartoonist with bite, was “temporarily suspended” due to a controversy over a cartoon that appeared in The St. Augustine Record.
