Fifth Annual Food and Wine Festival
Community Liaison Jennifer Tesori reported to Historic City News that St. Augustine Independent Restaurant Association will hold its Fifth Annual Food & Wine Festival on Sunday, September 28, from Noon to 4 p.m. with selections from seventeen of the historic city’s best local independent restaurants — featuring more than 100 wines, and several new attractions.

The “Yield to Life” safety campaign, co-sponsored by the City of St Augustine and the North Florida Transportation Planning Organization, will hold a news conference to announce the official launch of the program, a collaborative effort aimed at increasing awareness and reducing bicycle and pedestrian-related crashes in St. Augustine, according to Jeff Sheffield, North Florida TPO Executive Director.

Historic City News readers who visit any state park in Florida, except at Skyway Fishing Pier State Park, can show their library card, a library book, or donate a new or gently used family-friendly book, to receive free admission on International Literacy Day; Monday, September 8th.
