Sea Turtle nesting season May 1 – October 31
Michael Ryan is asking Historic City News readers to help protect St. Johns County’s sea turtle habitat by observing all nesting season laws and regulations along our Atlantic Ocean beaches from now through October 31, 2014.
16th Annual Community Banquet honors law enforcement
Historic City News has learned that, this year, Crime Stoppers of Northeast Florida will recognize St. Augustine Beach Police Officer Erin M. McLerran, St. Augustine Police Sergeant Anthony Cuthbert, and St. Johns County Sheriff’s Corporal Gregory T. Suchy; among the 20 law enforcement officers in the 7th Judicial Circuit who have been nominated by their supervisors for outstanding service.

The development plan for the St Johns Children’s Museum does not make sense to me, and it shouldn’t to the City Commissioners or the administration at the City of St Augustine, either. For a minute, let’s not use the term “Children’s Museum” and instead, say “developer”.
