Letter: Multitude of reasons Phillips is not qualified
Michael Mann
St Augustine, FL
Dear Historic City News editor:
I heartily support the St. Augustine Record’s endorsement of Mayor Nancy Shaver. There are a multitude of reasons why Kris Phillips is not qualified to be the Mayor of St. Augustine:

Historic City News learned today that a 21-year-old St Augustine Beach man and his 25-year-old accomplice were arrested on charges related to burglary of a motor vehicle in Ponte Vedra Beach.

Last night at approximately 8:30 p.m., Historic City News crime reporters were informed that deputies with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office had been dispatched to the Burger King located at 2255 SR-207 to issue trespassing warnings to a man and woman who managers say were using illegal drugs in the restaurant’s restroom.
St. Johns County Engineering Division Project Manager Douglas Tarbox reported to Historic City News today that there will be a temporary road closure of St Johns Parkway (CR-2209) at Race Track Road.
While Flagler students Max Dela Merced and Katie Kelderman chatted about their Economics classes on Saturday, they gathered up leaves and polished memorial plaques in the garden behind the Council on Aging, according to a report on “Reach Out Raise Up” activities received by Historic City News.

Dear Election Day voters:
Early voting in person and by mail in this election has been record breaking. Combined voter turnout for St Johns County was at 56% at the close of early voting. I expect this will be the best election turnout we have seen in a number of years. My projection is 84% voter turnout for the General Election.
The City of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News that they will offer a free Park and Ride Shuttle, to coincide with the busiest weekends during the Nights of Lights.
