After domestic violence arrest man charged with attempted murder



The City of St. Augustine, in cooperation with the St. Augustine Neighborhood Council, announced to Historic City News that they are hosting a series of public meetings to gather the community’s input for the development of the city’s first Historic Preservation Master Plan.

Debbie Delgado reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit reported to Historic City News this morning that they have identified and arrested a suspect in connection with now three similar robberies at the same Hastings business this month.
The Florida National Guard has invited all Historic City News readers to participate when they celebrate the 451st anniversary of the birth of the militia in the continental United States during a ceremony in St. Augustine.
In 2003, Historic City News reported that the city felt it was losing control of the ambiance of the city’s entrance ways, specifically along King Street, San Marco Avenue and Anastasia Boulevard, so design standards were instituted for those important thoroughfares — not with the same rules as the historic districts, but with rules that were reflective of the history and desired ambiance of those streets.
