The St. Johns Democratic Party reported to Historic City News that invitations have been extended for an open meet-and-greet forum for candidates in the Primary and General Elections whose contests are non-partisan; such as Circuit Court Judge, Mosquito Control Board, Airport Authority, and City Commission.

The St. Johns County Board of County Commission Meetings are held the first and third Tuesdays each month commencing at 9:00 am in the St. Johns County Auditorium located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine, FL. The Board reserves the right to cancel and or change the meeting schedule as needed. Most Public Hearings for the County Commission will be advertised for 9:00 a.m. It will be left to the discretion of the BCC Chair as to the most appropriate time to break for the noon recess. Republican Assembly holds annual convention

At the invitation of Assembly president, Eric West, Historic City News editor Michael Gold attended Saturday’s annual convention of the St. Johns County Republican Assembly. Participants in the public portion of the meeting included candidates for election in various seats being contested in the August 26th Primary Election.

FDOT road repairs and maintenance report

FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATIONLaurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
