Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.
Each evening at 74 Bridge Street, located in a lot near the corner of Washington Street, the Dining with Dignity initiative, with assistance from Home Again St. Johns, undertakes to offer a meal to those who would otherwise go hungry. In the past year, more than 34,000 meals were served, and Home Again St Johns assisted further in relocating homeless people sleeping on the St Augustine bay front.

During this morning’s meeting of the St Johns County Commission, an agreement was reached on the sale of several acres of maritime hammock nature trails, the 1876 historic keepers’ house and two Victorian-era summer kitchens as well as a garage and U.S. Coast Guard barracks from the WWII period that surround the St Augustine Lighthouse.
