Cheryl Freeman, volunteer coordinator for the St. Johns County School District, reported to local Historic City News reporters that three individuals were honored as St Johns County’s “Outstanding Volunteers of the Year” at the sixth annual Volunteer Recognition Reception held recently at First Coast Technical College.

After a four year hiatus, International Workers’ Day will once again be celebrated in St. Augustine. All working people are invited to meet in front of City Hall (the Lightner Museum) at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1st.
Komodo dragon being moved to outdoor enclosure
Historic City News local reporters learned that at about 10:00 a.m. on Saturday morning, handlers at the St Augustine Alligator Farm are planning to move their new male Komodo dragon to the larger outdoor enclosure.
