On behalf of the St. Augustine Fire Department, Historic City News extends a public invitation to participate in a special recognition event when the Sons of the American Revolution will honor three St Augustine firefighters with Heroism and Fire Safety Commendations for their life-saving efforts.
Historic City News has been informed that a local group of heritage families, many of whom are of Menorcan descent, are adding their voice to the efforts of the pro-veteran’s group, “Save Their Honor”, who will be working with the Florida legislature this session to enact the state’s first Veterans Memorial Protection and Preservation Law.
Historic City News was notified by Florida Department of Transportation Public Information Officer, Allen Nelson, that traffic will be impacted at the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations where roadwork is being conducted.
