St Augustine Police Corporal Chris Miller was recognized today by the St. Augustine Police Benevolent Organization for being alert to the need of a local senior who was living without the benefit of outdoor security lighting at her home in the city.

Filmmaker Lorraine Portman reported to Historic City News that some of the North Florida cast and crew of “Falling South” will be in attendance at Saturday’s screening, including film editor Jay Pennington and production assistant Amanda Davidson, both of whom are well known to the city’s 48 Hour Film Project participants.

Ancient City Poets will present a special event at Corazon Cinema and Café located at 36 Granada Street, St. Augustine on Sunday, September 30, 2018 and Historic City News readers are invited to attend.

Summer rains forced the postponement of two performances during the free summer music series, Concerts in the Plaza.  The City of St Augustine has rescheduled the performances for back-to-back nights in mid-September.
