When doing living history at the Castillo, most of us interpret Spanish soldiers.

Historic City News has learned that Anne Wilson, President of Friends of A1A, and Sallie O’Hara, Byway Program Administrator, have returned from Minneapolis, Minnesota where last week they accepted a 2011 Scenic Byway Award for the “Environmental Education Fair”.

The City of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News that on Sunday, September 11, the City of St. Augustine continues the annual tradition of holding its Ceremony of Remembrance, honoring those who died in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001.

As Historic City News reporters met the man referred to by many around the state as “the Tea Party governor” a delegation from the Town Crier Committee of the St. Augustine Tea Party greeted the Governor and thanked him for his efforts to reduce the size and cost of Florida’s government.
