Flagler College Magazine Editor and Newspaper Adviser, Brian Thompson, met with Historic City News Editor Michael Gold and reached an accord that will help journalism students at Flagler College have their work published outside of college media, on a selected basis.

For two years that began today in 1788, the United States Capitol was designated as New York City. Also on this day in 1789, Alexander Hamilton’s Bank of New York would give the United Stated government its first loan in the amount of $200,000.

Historic City News business reporters learned this week that Shipwreck Theatre Company LLC, has obtained a license to operate a live theatre in the former location of Vilano Beach Video at 200 Vilano Rd; just east of the Vilano Beach Pier.
