Lewis honored at dedication of Dixie Highway trough

During a brief ceremony this morning, Ann Lewis, the granddaughter of winter resident and St Augustine benefactor, Albert Lewis, spoke to attendees of a dedication ceremony honoring the man at the site of a stone horse trough which Lewis donated to the community 100-years ago.
Laurie Sanderson reported the following St Augustine and St Johns County locations to Historic City News where the Florida Department of Transportation will be conducting roadwork that is expected to have an impact on driving, beginning this morning and continuing through the coming week.

Troy Ohio, Guthrie Oklahoma and other small towns visited by Mumford and Sons on their Gentlemen of the Road tour likely have less tourism than St. Augustine, but city officials here hope this successful stop can grow the already sizeable 6-7 million annual visitor count.
