St Augustine Pirate and Treasure Museum proprietor and author, Pat Croce, was on hand to sign his new book “Sir Francis Drake” in conjunction with festivities celebrating “Talk like a Pirate Day”.





Donald Forgione, Director of the Florida Park Service, invited all Historic City News readers to join in the celebration of Florida’s Hispanic Heritage Month; September 15th through October 15th. Nowhere in the state is the significance and appreciation of Hispanic culture more central to our history than in St Augustine and St Johns County.
Barbara Golden, Communications Manager for the St Augustine, Ponte Vedra and the Beaches Visitors and Convention Bureau, informed local Historic City News reporters about the following entertaining events for our St Johns County readers.
Environmental Compliance Manager Tony Cubbedge alerted Historic City News readers in Ponte Vedra Beach that the St Johns County Utility Department continues emergency repairs this morning to an overnight water main break that occurred in the area.
The wait is finally over for Historic City News readers who live and work in northwest St Johns County and travel into Duval County as the brand new SR-9B from Philips Highway to the I-295 East Beltway opens Thursday.
