DeSantis won’t suspend Capitol tours for constituents

Our District 6 member of the US House of Representatives, Ron DeSantis of Ponte Vedra Beach, asked that we assure Historic City News readers planning to visit Washington, DC this summer that his staff will continue to offer tours of the United States Capitol.



Historic City News was informed that this year St Johns County Sheriff David Shoar recognized Deputy Vinnie Russo with one of the agency’s highest honors during the 29th Annual Awards Banquet Friday evening at the World Golf Village Convention Center.
Ranger Jesse Olbrich reported to local Historic City News reporters that the Historic Weapons Program demonstrations are scheduled regularly at both Castillo de San Marcos National Monument and Fort Matanzas National Monument — weather and personnel permitting.
Historic City News was notified that topics such as bullying, cyber-bullying, peer pressure, raising morally responsible children, cliques and relationship aggression will be covered during the second-of-three sessions that are part of the “Community Empowerment Series”.
