Athletics at the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind are on a hot streak, according to a report received by Historic City News today.

On the first official day of the St Augustine Lions Seafood Festival, presented by Winn-Dixie, Historic City News reporters noticed a sea of activity as vendors and rides are still being setup at lunchtime.

For the last 10 years, local artist Jill Cerulli has made art pieces for the St. Augustine Art Association Tactile Show; and, last week, Historic City News learned that she donated her award-winning piece entitled “Read” to the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind library.

Rhythm and Ribs Festival Chair Bobbie-Jo Manning told Historic City News reporters that at yesterday’s breakfast meeting of the St Augustine Sunrise Rotary Club, Letti Bozard presented the local non-profit community service organization with a sponsorship check from Bozard Ford in the amount of $18,000.
