Missing for over twenty years, Historic City News was there when St. Johns County Sheriff David B. Shoar presented the original fingerprint card of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., on loan to the fledgling Civil Rights museum located inside the former Excelsior High School in Lincolnville.
Bob Samuels told Historic City News local reporters that the St. Augustine Beach Civic Association is sponsoring the 6th Annual “Taste of the Beach” on Sunday, May 15th.

Lindsey Phillips told Historic City News reporters that America’s 394 national parks celebrated National Park Week April 16 – 24 with the idea Healthy Parks, Healthy People.

Patti Henderson reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Tea Party will hold its regular meeting tomorrow, Tuesday, April 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Village Inn in St. Augustine on Ponce de Leon Boulevard.
Former Vice President Carolyn Smith has informed local Historic City News reporters that she has been named as “interim operations director” by the Board of Directors of the St. Augustine Humane Society.
