Markland House special holiday tours
For only the second year such tours have been offered, Historic City News readers have been invited to participate in special holiday tours of Flagler College’s Markland House, 102 King St., December 18th and 19th then again on January 1st and 2nd at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.

Historic City News received a call from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office announcing the official opening of the Beverly Beach sheriff’s substation at 2735 North Oceanshore Boulevard Thursday morning with a brief ceremony at the beachside office.
Historic City News has learned that the rehabilitation of St. Augustine’s historic Bridge of Lions, led by facilities and infrastructure consulting firm RS&H, has been ranked fourth in the nation’s Top 10 Bridges of 2010, according to Roads & Bridges magazine.
Historic City News has been informed that a single car crash, discovered by another motorist on Wildwood Drive at 5:45 a.m. this morning, left a St. Johns County man dead and several unanswered questions for investigators.
Justin Loomis reported to local Historic City News reporters that on Friday November 19th thru Sunday November 21st the Loomis Bros. Circus will be performing at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds in Elkton.
St. Augustine Navy League President Bill Korach told local Historic City News reporters that during last month’s meeting, six of the original thirty-two members who chartered the local council of the national organization, were guests of the league as they celebrated their 35th anniversary.
Emergency Services and Homeless Coalition of St. Johns County announced to Historic City News that they will hold their annual community covered dish dinner at First United Methodist Church Thursday, November 18th, beginning at 5:30 p.m.
