In conjunction with a fair housing study, required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and a condition for receiving Federal housing and community development funds, St Johns County is hosting two public meetings for residents to provide feedback.

In St Johns County, thousands of voters headed to the polls beginning at 8:00 a.m. this morning; and, with little exception, continued steadily until the doors closed at 6:00 p.m. According to Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes, over 6,800 voters cast their ballot in the first day of Early Voting in the 2018 General Election.

Commission to consider ordinance to address Plaza protests

After a year of doing nothing, at their regular meeting Monday night, October 22nd, the Commission of the City of St Augustine will be presented a proposed repeal and replacement of Chapter 22, Article I, Section 22-4 of the City Charter. If approved, it will govern how the city will regulate events, protests and counter-protests; allowing them to co-exist in the Plaza de la Constitucion and city commons.
