Courthouse gets new name

During a celebration honoring him today; the courthouse will be named for Senior Circuit Judge Richard Watson. The special recognition will be the first order of business for the St. Johns County Commissioners when their meeting opens at 9 a.m. Tuesday, April 1.

The new Southeast Annex, serving the citizens of southern St. Johns County, is complete and ready for operation. Prison Farm proposal protested by Putnam

Putnam County officials don’t think St. Johns County is treating them fairly by proposing to put a prison work farm in Hastings, and they’ve sent a letter of protest to the St. Johns County Commission.
