Suspected Ponte Vedra Beach burglars arrested

Historic City News has learned that two Ponte Vedra Beach teenagers were arrested on charges of burglary to a conveyance and possession of burglary tools early this morning.


Historic City News has learned that two Ponte Vedra Beach teenagers were arrested on charges of burglary to a conveyance and possession of burglary tools early this morning.

A 42-year old Putnam County man, arrested last week on burglary and other charges, faces additional charges today stemming from a home invasion earlier this month according to a report received by Historic City News.

Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News today that on Monday evening at 9:20 p.m. deputies responded to the scene of an armed robbery at the Dollar General Store in the 100 block of North Main Street, Hastings.

Historic City news was informed of two bodies that appear to have washed ashore yesterday — one victim discovered face down on the beach by a passerby around 6:15 p.m. and the other reported shortly after 9:00 p.m.
Historic City News has learned that detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are seeking two male subjects in connection with a carjacking that occurred early Monday evening in the 600 block of W. King St.

Historic City News learned that when police attempted to pull over a pickup truck for reckless driving on U.S. Highway 1 this morning, a chase involving dozens of officers ensued.

Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office are continuing the investigation into the death of a 54-year old man Monday afternoon. The victim, identified as Douglas Bryan Walter, 54, was a St. Johns County resident.

Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News this morning that Detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Violent Crimes Unit are investigating a possible “road rage†incident that occurred Thursday night.
