600-300-2-THANK-YOU

Welcome back to our returning candidates and their campaign managers and we look forward to working with new candidates who may still be getting acquainted with buying political advertising from Historic City News.

Over the past eight biennial election cycles, Historic City News has built one of the most effective audiences available in St Johns and Flagler County; super-voters who are interested in political issues and candidates for elected office. We have publicized new runs for state and regional candidates; as well as local city, county, and district contests.

Our political advertisers enjoy expert advice on ad size, placement, and effective branding techniques. Editor in Chief, Michael Gold, has written copy for some of the highest profile campaigns in northeast Florida, and successfully promoted the election message of both newcomers and well-seasoned incumbents.

Historic City News will assist each candidate when possible, however, it is the candidate themselves that must review and approve every advertisement prior to publication. All publicity, advertisement composition and publication must be paid for at the time the work is ordered. Political advertisements are restricted to available space in our web publications and direct opt-in e-mail pieces targeting more than 15,000 daily readers. Extended publicity including mentions in news articles, photography, social media placement and political guest columns are limited to one candidate per party per elected seat and are sold on a first come-first considered basis. Campaign endorsements are made in both the Primary and General Elections for local offices; subject to approval of our citizen editorial review board, editor, and the publisher.

In this Presidential Election year, there will be a larger-than-normal interest in the November General Election. We encourage candidates to contact us as early as possible after a budget is established and a campaign treasurer is appointed in order to secure the best ad placements prior to the Primary Election.
