Chicago live at the Amphitheatre Sunday
Tickets are on sale now for next Sunday’s performance by the legendary band Chicago at the St Augustine Amphitheatre on April 7. Formed in 1967 in Chicago, the self-described “rock and roll band with horns” released their first album “Chicago Transit Authority” in 1969.
New stamp celebrates 500 years of La Florida
The United States Postal Service announced to Historic City News that St Augustine will be the official first-day-of-issue post office for four new La Florida stamps; issued to commemorate the Ponce de Leon landing on April 3, 1513. The Forever stamps will be unveiled at Lewis Auditorium at Flagler College on April 3.
Motorcycle rear-ends stopped car in Ponte Vedra Beach
Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Dennis Shorter informed Historic City News that a Ponte Vedra Beach man who was riding a motorcycle this afternoon, failed to stop in time to avoid a collision with the rear-end of a vehicle stopped at a traffic signal on SR-A1A.

Missing Persons Information Clearinghouse turns 30
Gretl Plessinger, assigned to the FDLE Office of Public Information in Tallahassee, has informed local Historic City News reporters that March is an important landmark for Floridians — the 30th anniversary of the Missing and Endangered Persons Information Clearinghouse.
