Historic City News local St. Augustine and St. Johns County news desk has learned that guests of tomorrow’s Gator Bowl game will get a little something extra this weekend in exchange for their ticket stubs.

Matanzas beach driving halted by Park Service

Troy Blevins, the director of parks and recreation for St. Johns County, told Historic City News local St. Augustine and St. Johns County news desk that as of tomorrow, driving will be allowed on about 14 miles along the county’s 42-mile coast.

County offices close for unpaid furlough day

Public Affairs Specialist Karen Pan reported to Historic City News local St. Augustine and St. Johns County news desk that the first of five unpaid staff furlough days for county employees in 2010 will be Friday, January 15th.

Cat in St. Augustine South found shot twice

Historic City News reader Sacha Martin reported that a pet cat was discovered, shot twice with pellets, by a St. Augustine South resident Monday afternoon.
