The Ides of March will have the eyes of city commissioners and guests on the variety of facilities through which our city government serves us according to an announcement received by Historic City News from the St. Augustine Report this morning.

Historic City News has learned from the St. Augustine Report published by the City Department of Public Affairs, that If plans can pass muster with two citizen boards and our City Commission, the Bishop’s Building will return to the St. George Street half of the Bank of America parking lot.

Juvenile pulls gun on deputy during chase

17 year-old Dwight Hines was taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice detention facility Thursday — but not before he lead a deputy sheriff on a foot chase and assaulted him with a .22 caliber handgun according to a report received by Historic City News on Friday.

Sgt. Chuck Mulligan reported to Historic City News that Deputy Thomas Coward was dispatched to a residence on Indian Bend Road yesterday concerning a stabbing incident that would send one local woman to jail.
