Rash of utility trailer thefts reported

Property Crimes Unit detectives with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office have reported to Historic City News that they are investigating a rash of utility trailer thefts that occurred throughout the county over the past 3 1/2 months.

Suspect in custody for stealing cemetery urns

Sheriff’s Media Relations Officer Kevin Kelshaw reported to Historic City News that a St. Johns County couple was arrested on charges of dealing in stolen property early this afternoon in Putnam County and face additional charges in St. Johns County.

The City of St. Augustine reported to Historic City News that HARB Chairman Fred Halback along with members Paul Weaver, Les Thomas, Ken Smith and Len Weeks will convene on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Alcazar Room of City Hall, 75 King Street, St Augustine, Florida.

New signage being installed

Historic City News has observed that St. Augustine’s highway signage program is well underway with more prominent new directional signs that feature the historic street light pole design of the historic district and carry our city coat of arms.

County Commission Agenda 11/17/2009

St. Johns County Commissioners will hear a rezoning application from Anastasia Mosquito Control District this morning that may clear the way for the district’s Board of Directors to build a new $2 million headquarters on 9.5 acres off Agricultural Drive.
