Flagler Creates! art festival

Flagler College reported to Historic City News that they will host the inaugural Flagler Creates! art festival on Saturday, November 20th from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the Flagler College West Lawn, according to Director of Public Information Brian Thompson.

Port Waterway and Beach District help Regatta

The St. Augustine Yacht Club reported to Historic City News that the St. Augustine Port, Waterway and Beach District agreed in their meeting yesterday that, over the objection of chairman, Barry Benjamin, they will contribute $7,500 to the 30th annual Holiday Regatta of Lights.

Local man charged with capital sexual battery

On Monday evening, Historic City News was informed that investigators with the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office Special Victims Unit have arrested a 36 year-old man on a warrant alleging five sexual battery charges — four of which carry $1 million bond each; the fifth is a capital offense that does not allow the defendant to be released on bond.
