Applicants will have a two-week window in which to make their application if they want to be considered for the newly created position of Arts, Culture, and Heritage Tourism Development Director for the St. Johns County Cultural Council, according to an announcement received from President Tommy Bledsoe by Historic City News today.
Historic City News learned from Public Information Officer Mark Samson, that a 42 year-old homeless man stabbed a Newcomb Street resident last night outside of the south entrance to the Lightner Museum on Granada Street.
At about 4:40 p.m. this afternoon, Historic City News was notified by Florida Highway Patrol Lt. Bill Leeper, that troopers were on the scene of an overturned vehicle traveling southbound on I-95 south of World Golf Village.
The attitude at the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office today is that they have some answers and they have many more questions in the violent murder of Fruit Cove resident 53 year-old Daniel Stuart Somerson.
Historic City News has been notified that Florida Memorial University, South Florida’s only historically black university, will officially dedicate the recently restored A. L. Lewis Archway Plaza during a ceremony celebrating the school’s former entryway and historic roots in St. Augustine.
