The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce announced to Historic City News that Debra Bulak has been named as its new membership manager and events coordinator for St. Augustine and St. Johns County.

St. Augustine and St. Johns County will be watching for a ruling in a lawsuit scheduled for trial next month between Orange County and the online travel website, Orbitz — however, yesterday, their Internet competitor, Expedia, reached a voluntary settlement with the county for an undisclosed amount.
Comedian Danny Johnson will be appearing for a local fundraising event at Jackie Night’s Comedy Club on Sunday, November 6th; according to an announcement received by Historic City News this week.

St. Johns County Tax Collector Dennis W. Hollingsworth announced to Historic City News that his office has distributed $4,238,420.88 to the local government and taxing authorities, from unused earned revenue collected during FY2010-2011.
