Local “Keepers of the Coast” members and volunteers will join thousands of helpers to lend a hand in keeping our seas trash free on Saturday, September 21st, during the 28th Annual International Coastal Clean-Up Day; spearheaded by one of the world’s most successful non-profit organizations, Ocean Conservancy.
If you want to focus on cleaning the water bring your kayak or paddle boards along, or just help clean the shoreline on foot.
“This year celebrates the 28th anniversary of this landmark event,” President Tara Dodson told Historic City News. “We are pleased to be working with Connect1NG, a Northrop-Grumman employee resource group, as a new site adopter for these efforts.”

Lighthouse Park from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
located at 442 Ocean Vista Avenue, St. AugustineFrank Butler West Park from 8:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m.
located at 400 Riverside Boulevard, Butler Beach
“Spread the word, and be sure to invite your friends and families, too,” Dodson told reporters. “We will provide bags, data cards, and gloves; you remember to wear cool clothing and bring lots of sunscreen.”
