Mary Cay Brock, St Johns Branch manager of Community First Credit Union in St Augustine, notified Historic City News of the organization of the “Community First Cares Foundation” — the only non-profit foundation administered by a credit union in the region.

Last night I attended a meeting held by the Uptown group to discuss the ramifications of the Mumford Concert. It was very enlightening. The first 30 minutes were “glowing generalities” about how great it will be and how the city will learn from the event and how the merchants will get repeat visitors down the road.
Unions sue to stop railroad construction
The Brotherhood of Railroad Signalmen and the Florida AFL-CIO filed a lawsuit yesterday to overturn a Florida Department of Transportation decision to award a bid for work on SunRail, the commuter line in central Florida, to a contractor they believe is unqualified for the project.
