St Johns County iWATCH monitors suspicious activity
St Johns County Sheriff David Shoar told Historic City News reporters about a program underway that was created to educate the public about behaviors and activities that may have a connection to terrorism.



As Tropical Storm Andrea approaches our area, the Florida Highway Patrol would like to remind Historic City News readers about some of the risks of driving in severe weather.
Because of the impending weather associated with Tropical Storm Andrea, the City of St Augustine reported to Historic City News that tonight’s Concert in the Plaza performance, which was to include a screening of a 1964 episode of “Route 66” shot in town, has been postponed.
St Johns County Road and Bridge Department informed Historic City News that until 5:30 p.m. today, residents may obtain up to 50 sandbags in preparation for expected flooding as a result of tropical storm Andrea.
The Ham Radio operators of the Flagler Emergency Communications Association informed Historic City News that they will establish a nationwide communications platform simulating emergency conditions for 24 hours; beginning at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 22nd.
