Tickets are on sale now for next Sunday’s performance by the legendary band Chicago at the St Augustine Amphitheatre on April 7. Formed in 1967 in Chicago, the self-described “rock and roll band with horns” released their first album “Chicago Transit Authority” in 1969.
The United States Postal Service announced to Historic City News that St Augustine will be the official first-day-of-issue post office for four new La Florida stamps; issued to commemorate the Ponce de Leon landing on April 3, 1513. Detectives with the St Johns County Sheriff’s Office Robbery Homicide Unit questioned 40-year-old Nathaniel David Juratovac of St Augustine early this morning following an alleged “road rage” incident that occurred last night on US-1 South. Based on evidence collected at the scene, witness testimony, and information obtained in that interview, Juratovac, who resides on Casuarina Circle, was arrested and charged with attempted murder at about 2:00 a.m.
