The eyes of Americans across the nation were focused on the West Lawn of Flagler College this morning when, at about 9:30 a.m., presidential hopeful and Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney was introduced to a cheering crowd, numbering in the thousands, by Florida Governor Rick Scott.

I would like to set straight the inaccuracies printed about me today in a St Augustine Record article by reporter Peter Guinta, titled “State committee elections pit Tea Party candidates against mainstream GOP candidates”.
Creeks Athletic Association announced to local Historic City News reporters that Wednesday, August 15, is the last day to register for Julington Creek Baseball’s fall programs.
Thursday evening, local Historic City News reporters learned that the Palmetto Lodge 25 of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows presented a charitable donation to Carol Wolfe; President of the St Gerard House in St Augustine.
St Johns County Supervisor of Elections Vicky Oakes reported to Historic City News in St Augustine that all polling locations have closed on this, the last day of early voting in the 2012 Primary Election.
During the regular business meeting Monday evening, St Augustine city commissioners will consider proposed Ordinance 2012-10 to allow banners on city-owned light poles for limited, “government-only” use.
