Sharon Outland’s office is distributing the “Truth in Millage” notice to Historic City News readers who own property in St. Johns County; which, although it is not your final tax bill, does contain a lot of important information — some of which you have a limited time to dispute.
Historic City News readers will soon be receiving what is known as a “Truth in Millage” notice from the county Property Appraiser; and for all of us who are concerned about increases in millage — it bears mentioning that one taxing authority has managed to remain at zero mills.
Public Affairs Officer Lt. Dennis Maloney, reported to Historic City News that St. Augustine Civil Air Patrol Composite Squadron 173, recently recognized new members and officers who have earned rank promotions.
The driver of the overland gasoline tank-truck, that ignited while delivering fuel to the 5th Wheel BP Station, has been identified to Historic City News as the victim that was transported by air ambulance to Shands Teaching Hospital in Gainesville last night.
