FHP Lieutenant Bill Leeper reported to Historic City News that Lina S. Mourad of 1459 Mallard Landing Boulevard in Fruit Cove was struck and killed by a sod trailer as it traveled north along County Road 13 yesterday morning.
More than five years of planning will move into action beginning tomorrow morning when Historic City News reporters join St. Augustine City Commissioners to mark the start of the $3.4 million Riberia Street Rehabilitation Project.
While Historic City News was covering Governor Scott’s speech to a crowd of supportive Tea Party members, just around the corner from the applause, a coalition of union members and students organized by Fight Back Florida were holding their own rally for public education.
Senator Bob Graham is the former two–term governor of Florida and served for 18 years in the United States Senate.

The winds of change were strong at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds today — Historic City News numbered the crowd at about 1,500 – 2,000 state and local Tea Party members who turned out to show their support for smaller government, less government spending and lower taxation.
